Biology of Hand Washing

To prepare for our fundraising feast, let's remind ourselves of some important health facts and tips.

1. In your Biology book, read pages 2-9. Define the key terms on page 6 as you read.

2. Read this article about WHO is REALLY washing their hands, and create three-five questions based on the facts there.

Raven Stories

Part A:

1. Google "Quileute Raven" and download the book. Read the first 15 pages and answer:

2. Name at least two purposes Quileute traditional stories often have. (What they explain)

3. When do these stories take place? Describe the animals of this time period.

4. What are trickster animals in other culture's stories? Name four qualities.

5. Describe the geography, diet, trades, resources of the Quileute. Name seven neighbors of the Quileute.

Part B:

1. Summarize "Raven and Bear" using no more than 20 words.

2. Describe each character using three adjectives each.

3. Write a journal entry on one of these topics:

Describe a moment in your life that you copied what others were doing. What did you copy and what was the result?

Describe a moment when you witnessed someone else copying someone else. Why do you think they did this, and what was the result?
